Weds morning, BNU President, Prof.  Zhong Bin Lin, Geography College Dean Prof. Dai Yong Jiu, Literature College Dean Prof. Zhang Jian, Mathematic College Dean Prof. Bao Ji Guang and Foreign Officer Hong Cheng Wen arrived at SFO, the first stop of the faculty recruiting trip in the USA.

 

Wang Li & Wu Yuxiang met them at the airport and  gave them a tour of the city.

 

Despite the short notice, 12 alumni joined the delegation with a pleasant chatting and relaxing dinner.

 

Thu, Mar 3

Wu, Yu-Xiang guided the delegation explore a scientific mystery point and the General Consul of PRC, SF hosted a dinner

 

Fri, Mar 4

Prof. Chen Mo-Mei arranged the delegation to visit UC Berkeley for a day of rich activities, including a meeting and discussion with professors and students about the BNU recruiting program, BNU future development.  Besides the questions and discussion, Wu, Yu-Xiang shared his work experience at BNU Zhuhai with the attendees while Prof. Gong offered valuable suggestions to the delegation in many areas. 

A warm welcome party hold by Prof. Chen after the meeting, over 20 Berkeley

professors and scholars joined.

Sat, Mar 5

Over 30 people attended the recruiting meeting held at Cupertino Inn's conference room.  President

Zhong gave an updated BNU introduction and the "985" recruiting description.  It is a very nice

package with very flexible terms, including full time and part time offerings.  The speech was

followed with questions and a lively discussion.  After the meeting, the delegation visited Stanford University guided by Chen, Yu-hua.

 

The delegation left SF on Saturday evening for their next stop - Los Angeles.
