Apr 22, Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day even though we were
concerned about rain.

Over 30 people including children showed up and enjoyed the gathering.
We arrived at the restaurant before the rush at around 11:30 and enjoyed
a relaxing lunch. We were happy to chat with friends we hadn't seen for
a long time, and also warmly welcomed our new friends, Jiang/Xi-rong,
Lu/Bin and others. We chatted about topics ranging from career info and
parenting experience to cooking recipes and more.

We were extremely lucky to go hiking in such perfect weather. The trail
was neat and a quite long, 6KM loop; it tooks us more than 2 hours, but we all
made it!
Even our youngest member, Miao-Miao (HaiShan and Zhi Jing's daughter),
who is only one and a half years old, not to mention Qi-qi, Alan, Daniel and
other older kids.
They were all terrific!

After the hike, some people went to attend a concert in SF.

Henry Ma and his wife said that was the most fun day they had for past
several years and want to join all the future activities whenever possible.

Other news:
Zhang/Hui-pin introduced the XieYu education fund program. He will send
out the detail info shortly. I hope we can all participate.

Many thanks to Chen/Xiao-hui for making this outing so well organized,
and including very detailed instructions. Absolutely A+ work!

I am leaving next week for a business trip in Europe. I hope to see you
at our next gathering (perhaps a BBQ as Liu Ying & Xiaohui suggested?)
