We were lucky - after many weeks of rain it was finally sunny and beautiful last Sunday, Apr 30. 

Nearly 50 old and new BNU friends gathered at Steven's Creek County Park to enjoy the sun.
Many members brought special homemade foods which we all thoroughly enjoyed.
Of course pizza, sushi and fruit which were the kids' favorites, run out very quickly.

We had a nice big shady picnic area with grass to sit and relax in.  The kids played together happily while we ate and chatted.

We were all glad to meet a new alumni, Wang, Xing (Math, visiting scholar at Berkeley) and her family,  also Wang Chang & Gao Huaxing's parents, as well as our youngest member,  Yi Rong Xiang's newborn baby. 

After 2 hours of socializing, we took a photo (hope it includes most, if not all, of us!)
before heading to the trail.  Over 20 of us left for 2+ hours of hiking through the well covered trails. During a short break under shade, Wu YuXiang delighted the group with a solo on
his flute.

When we return to the big table from hiking, all the left over food looked too tasty to resist, and another big meal cleared them all.

Although the gathering officially ended after 5pm, some chose to stay longer
to relax and enjoy the sun.

Suggested future events:
Zhao Haiying offered to host a BBQ party and investment seminar at her house
Professor Chen Momei has offered to host a mushroom planting seminar
