Dear BNU friends,

First of all, congratulation to Han & Chun for their new born baby
girl, Kayla, beautiful name and beautiful girl! What lucky parents!
Thanks for sharing this great news with us and we wish them the very
best!

Here is last Saturday's gathering report:

Despite the summer vacation time, nearly 40 members,including
children, participated in our relaxing summer gathering. Some people
joined us for 2-5 PM chatting, some met up with us for dinner and the
concert, and some stayed throughout the entire day.

The weather was beautiful, Liu/ Lei and Wang/Xirui beat the schedule,
arriving at the beautiful Japanese Garden before 2 PM, Katherin and I
joined shortly. As the pioneers, we found a large, nice and shaded
grass slope right in front of the serene spring water pond. We were
so glad to find such a great location and enjoyed watching a happy
couple who were taking marriage photos. Unfortunately, that does not las long,
the park security guy kicked us off the grass because of Japanese culture
related issues. Oops!

We all so happy to chat with old friends and meet new friends:
Wu /Li-rong, Liao / Kang and Liang /Ming, Zhang/ wenyue, Tsai / Peng, Song/Xiling and others. We also welcomed our youngest member 弘毅 - Xiaohui and HuiPin's baby boy.
Welcome to the BNU family!

When more people gathered, we moved per Xirong and her husband's
suggestion to a better place outside of the Japanese garden with
several very nice BBQ table sets. Kids played around, while adults were relaxed.
Wu/Lirong for brought an assortment delicious snacks and drinks, plus supplies including table cloth. It was very generous and thoughtful. Thank you, Lirong!


Thanks to Lu Bin and Xiling for picking the great dinner restaurant.
The dinner was tasty, and the concert was wonderful. The singers and
the audiences so excited to share the passion and happy campus
memories. We had a great time.
