On Sunday, Aug 13, The North Californian Chinese Athletic Competition's
opening ceremony began around 9:30 AM.  All of arrived before the
ceremony started, however some of us arrived at 8:30 AM sharp as requested. 

Duan Dong Ling arrived first again, nice job number 1!

Our marching group strode in high spirits, and Xu Han & Wang Xing held
our bold BNU flag with prominence.  One senior alumni, Wang, Yan-xin,
(1960, education) saw our flag and joined us with her husband
immediately.  She was so excited and happy to meet us.  More over, her
daughter Wang Zhan offered a nice facility with Piano in her apartment building in
Palo Auto for our future gathering!  We are so fortune to have so many
kind, generous members that make up our warm, happy big family!

A total of 32 people participated the ceremony, despite the early morning schedule
and August being vacation season.  What a supportive group!

There was tremendous participation this year, many diversified groups
with its own unique uniforms, banners and flags.  Gong -fu and dance
groups caught the most attention with their outstanding uniforms and
performance.  Kids enjoyed the Children’s games while adults enjoyed the sports competition
as well as wandering among those food, gift and DVD booths.
