Dear All,

 

Some update info for your reference. 

 

BNU had hold an oversee alumni convention in Beijing on August 7th & 8th 

Attendees included directors from USA, Canada, Japan, Europe,

Australia and more.  Though none of the directors from our group were

available to make it, our senior alumni Mr. Kao attended the meeting on behalf

of us.  He gave a report of our activities for the past two years and

received  congratulations due to the fact that our west coast group

had more and rich activities than others.   We were praised as a good example in front of the National  Alumni Association board. 

 

Mr. Kao bought back more BNU T-shirts for us and donated to our group.  Many thanks to Mr. Kao for his generosity and strong support!

 

Currently, we are focusing on the National Day Fair  at Kennedy Part in

Union City on October 2nd.  Our BNU Alumni Association is in charge of

performance and Children's activities!  We need more volunteers to help

out on that day to make this a great experience for everyone! 

 

On the same day, there is a non-compepitive volleyball game organized by Tsinghua Net.  Eric, please register if we have enough members want to participate.

The following are some activities as part of National Day Celebration program I feel

maybe interesting for our members:

September 19, In Santa Clara, there is a Flag Raising ceremony for

Chinese National Day celebration.  It is to celebrate the founding of

the PRC.  Hopefully you can join in!

The information is as follows:

10:30-11:30AM, Sunday September 19th at Santa Clara County building.

Address: 70 West Hedding St.  San Jose, CA 95110.

 

September 26, in San Francisco, at Davies Sympony Hall, there is a concert from four famous Chinese singers  presented by Nan Hai Arts Center.  For ticket

information, call 650-259-2100 / 2121.  Mention our BNUAA for possible discount.
