Dear BNU Friends,
For those who went to the
2003 Moon Festival and National Day Celebration Party on Sep 28 in Union City,
you must enjoy those excellent art performances and had fun. Besides the art performance, 30 vender booths
for food, drink, art work, services, and so on.
Over 20 volleyball teams had contest l.
Plus a rich program for kids was organized by our BNUAA - mini golf
& bowling, Alley Oops & Ring toss, face painting & hula hoop,
riddle & jump house, and talent show from 6 Chinese schools.
For those who could not make
it, we felt sorry for missed you, especially your cheer our volleyball team
during the contest. Hope you can make it
next year.
With Liu, Feng’s hard work, we have our BNU volleyball team now. Our team did their best during the contest
though we did not win the prize, but you compare to other teams who had years
practice, we have to say that our team did great job. We would like to thank Liu Feng, who spent a
lot of time to set up the team, register the game, arrange the practice and get
ready for game, and a lot more than that.
Sun, Xiaobing helped Liu, Feng to put things together and bought an
whole case of water for our team. Also,
thanks to our key player, Lina Li, Zhang Hui-pin, Cheng Biao, Shen Qunying, Xu
xiantong, Hu Tao for all you have done.
Hope I did not miss anyone. Thank
you all!
From now on, we have our team
and we want to make it stronger and stronger from time to time. Please join if you like.
I also have to thank Zhao
Haiying and Qi Yunqian for their generosity – who sponsored 4 games for kids to play and supervised
the games entire time
Shen, Qunying arrived at 8:00
AM to help setting up and stayed all the way to the end.
Yi Rong-xiang Teng, yun, Shi,
Yongxia & Xie, Meng helped the games, and other activities, plus in charge
of the prizes distribution. Liu, Ying
were in charge of mi-yu, SHi, Yongxia made the cheerful recognition certificate
for each performer and group. My nephew,
Winnie Wang supervised the jumper almost entire time. Thank you for your hard work!
Again, thank you all for your
fully support and contribution. I am so grateful that we have a great family
and members.
p.s. 24 people participated
rafting on Sep 14 and was fun.

Dear All,
What a successful National
Day Celebration Party we had on Sep 28
in Union City! As you may have noticed
that we had a rich programs for children this year:
Jump house, of
course, was a hot spot, a waiting line
never stops started from 10:30 morning till 4:10 PM the last minute;
mini golf and bowling
attracted more boys while the pace painting
seems the girls
favorite;
Hola hoop contest kept the
"judge" busy to figure out the winners and
the Alley Oops changed all
ages,
Ring toss was fun to parents
and kids,
Moreover, the riddle (mi
yu) drove kids crazy to get the answer right.
Over 120
prizes did not last
long! So many kids if not all,
participated and had fun.
Also, the talent show was
excellent! Xiao Hong Hua Art group and
Shuangshuang
Chinese school brought us
lovely "Ya Ju" (silent show), "er ton ju" and "shi
lang
song", Haiao Chinese
school's Chorus showed its spirit, Dances from Zhonghua Yan
Yi school were
graceful,
"xiang sheng from
Stanford Chinese school was so funny,
Henry Chang's master piece
of Wushu and all kinds of shaoling gongfu from
Shaoling Intl. Wushu
school made the audiences so exciting.
Thank you, great kids and
great teachers!
I am sorry for the
difficulties and extra work caused to you due to the schedule
change, unfortunately,
some groups had to drop because of that, we certainly learned from that and do
hope that they can join next year. We
will make it better for sure.

art group provided the colorful Mi-Yu and Zhou, Meiling from Haiao Chinese
school offered the face painting and hola hoops.
SHen, qunying from Bei Shi
Da Alumni Association who came at 8:00 AM to help setting up and through all
the way to the end.
Teng, yun, Shi, Yongxia
& Xie, Meng from Bei Shi Da Alumni Association, who were in charge of the
prizes distribution and Liu, Ying who were in charge of mi-yu.

performer and group.

Correct me if I missed anyone.
Moreover, we were
impressed by the professional level performances from Silica Valley Chorus (gui
gu he chang tuan), and Silica Valley woman (gui gu nu xing). Such wonderful performance made people
reluctant to leave when Steven announced the event was over.
Again, thank you all for
your fully support and
contribution. I am sure that we
all glad to see that our hard work were paid off by whose happy faces from kids
and parents.
I also want to thank you
Steven Lin, Jin Ying, Zhao Yan, Xu Guangyu, Xie Dong & Liu Yu for your
extremly hard organizing and coordinating work, and many many others who
together made it happen. I enjoyed very
much working with you as a team and thanks for your support.
